Rapporteur asks Senate CCJ to change Messias hearing to April 28

Senator Weverton Rocha (PDT-MA), rapporteur for Jorge Messias’ nomination to the STF (Supreme Federal Court), asked the Senate’s CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission) to hold a hearing for the nominee on April 28th.

Initially, the scheduled date would be April 29th. Weverton, however, asked that the process be brought forward due to the May 1st holiday. The president of the CCJ, Otto Alencar (PSD-MA), responded to the request and announced the change of hearing.

“If all senators agree with the 28th, then the hearing is scheduled for April 28th for Dr. Jorge Messias,” said Otto.
