Trump conditions peace deal on ending Iran’s nuclear program

United States President Donald Trump stated that there will be no agreement with Iran if the country does not abandon its nuclear program, including uranium enrichment, and once again adopted a tough tone amid the war in the Middle East. In an interview with Fox Businesshe also said he expected an imminent drop in oil prices.

“If Iran does not agree to give up its nuclear program, there will be no agreement,” declared the Republican. Despite his firm stance, Trump projected relief in the energy market. “Oil prices will fall very soon and will return to the level they were before the attacks in Iran,” he said.

The president also highlighted the military capacity of the United States when commenting on the conflict. “We could destroy bridges and power plants in an hour,” he said, reinforcing pressure on Tehran.
