The presenter of TV Globo He was awarded the Brazilian Army Medal on Thursday (April 16, 2026), one of the highest distinctions granted by the institution. The honor took place during a ceremony at the Army Headquarters, located in the Urban Military Sector, in Brasília (DF), in .
According to the Army Social Communication Center, Huck was honored for “its contribution, over decades, to increasing the visibility of the Brazilian Army’s role in society”.
The event was led by the Army commander, , and was attended by the Minister of Defense, José Múcio Monteiro, as well as civil and military authorities.
In his speech, Huck spoke about the importance of recognition. “Receiving the Army Medal is an honor that I carry with deep gratitude. Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to show millions of Brazilians the serious, committed and often barely visible work carried out by the Army throughout the country”these.
“Being able to help give light to this action, whether in defending the territory or directly supporting the population, has always been a source of pride. I have enormous respect for the Armed Forces and I am deeply honored by this recognition”he declared.
The presenter used his Instagram profile to share the moment he was honored. In one of the videos published in stories, Huck showed his father, lawyer Hermes Marcelo Huck, and said that he was “all proud”.
The presenter declared: “It was a super symbolic morning. I loved being here and remembered that the first decoration I received from the Army was in 2006. In other words, I have had a relationship with the Army and the Armed Forces for 20 years. We’ve told so many good stories together. How many operations to support riverside communities in the Amazon have I participated in and been able to witness with the Brazilian Army.”
Huck had also already been decorated by the Army, when he received the Medal of the Order of Military Merit.
General Claudia Lima Gusmão Cacho, who reached the rank of general in the history of the Brazilian Army, was also decorated.
