Female voters now make up 52.8% of the total, an increase of 2 percentage points since 2002; number should still rise in title regularization by May
The 2026 elections are on track to have a new record of female voters. of the (Superior Electoral Court) in March show that qualified female voters make up 52.8% of the total. In 2002, it was 50.8%. There was an increase of 2 percentage points in the period. Compared to 2022, the growth was 0.2 percentage points.
In absolute numbers, there are today 82.8 million women and 73.9 million men registered voters. This total is still expected to grow as the population needs to regularize its voter registration card.

The Federal District has 54.2% of women voters. It is the highest percentage in Brazil. Pará has the lowest: 50.8%.
The South, Southeast and part of the Northeast regions concentrate the highest proportions of female voters.
