Volodymyr Zelensky reported that another 10 were hospitalized
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyreported this Saturday (18) that Five people died in a shooting attack in the capital Kiev. According to the Ukrainian leader, another 10 were hospitalized with injuries and trauma.
In a publication on X (formerly Twitter), Zelensky asked “quick investigation” of the episode.
According to Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko, a gunman opened fire in a supermarket and took several people hostage. As the Ukrainian official said, the suspect was killed during arrest.
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said the shooter was identified as a 58-year-old Moscow native. He also reported that a fire was recorded in the apartment where the suspect lived in Kiev.
Kravchenko also said that the man killed four people who were on the street and one in the supermarket.
