This Sunday (19), Tadeu Schmidt went live to talk to the BBB 26 finalists and decided breaking reality protocol by sharing his own grief with Ana Paula Renaultwho had been informed earlier about her father’s death.
“First of all, Ana Paula, I wanted to give you a hug and wish you a lot of strength. (…) You will have your time to understand. Your time to receive this shock, this blow, and we respect everything you want to do very much”, began the presenter.
He then warned that he would do something outside of what was permitted by the program’s production and revealed the death of his brother, Oscar Schmidt, which occurred last Friday (17).
“I also wanted, Ana Paula, to tell you something that is completely outside of protocol, but, at these times, to hell with the protocol”he said. “Do you know when we are suffering and we hold hands to become stronger? (…) I’m also experiencing grief, man, told.
The presenter reinforced his support for the participant and highlighted his respect for her decision to remain in the game. “I really respect anything you do. I really respect this moment you’re living in. And I wanted to tell you that we admire you so much and that it’s an honor to have you here with us”, declared.
Ana Paula reacted with great emotion to the news. “Tadeu, which screenwriter is this? How are you working too?”, she said. The sister was called to the Confessionário moments before and received the news from the family. According to the presenter, Ana Paula was informed about the situation and had the option to leave the reality show, but
“From what you say about your relationship with your father, I imagine that Gerardo would be applauding you, immensely proud of you, as I know my brother would say to me: ‘Don’t you dare leave'”, he concluded.
Last Friday (17), Tadeu paid tribute to Oscar Schmidt in a speech marked by emotion. On the occasion, he explained his decision to continue leading the presentation of BBB 26 even on a day of mourning and highlighted his brother as his greatest reference, especially for his love of the profession.
