A man decided to get new teeth from Turkey: Horror consequences! Instead of a perfect smile, he only had eyes for crying

Englishman Jon Denton (34) bitterly regretted his decision to fly to Turkey, where he wanted to have his teeth fixed. Instead of relief, he felt unbearable pain and after returning home, all his implants fell out. At present, he cannot eat anything but liquid food and is ashamed to smile.

  • Jon lost his front teeth after a motorcycle accident.
  • He had 14 implants drilled in a Turkish clinic, but he suffered from unbearable pain.
  • A few weeks later, his teeth started falling out.
  • After returning to Turkey, the doctor removed all remaining implants.
  • He is currently raising money to get his teeth fixed.

Jon, from Hertfordshire, England, suffered a serious motorbike accident in January 2020, after which doctors had to pull out his front teeth to insert a breathing tube. During his recovery, he had metal implants in his jaw for several months, which made it difficult for him to brush his teeth. Because of this, his teeth literally began to fall apart.

When the father of two asked for help from a dentist in the UK, he said he was told the procedure would cost at least £30,000. He therefore decided to fly to Turkey in January of this year to get a new smile. “I received several offers from dentists and chose one that was in the middle of the price range because I thought it was a safe choice. The clinic had good reviews and was one of the few that didn’t pressure you to book an appointment right away, so it seemed trustworthy,” Jon stated.

After paying the initial cost of the treatment, Jon spent six hours in the dentist’s chair having 14 implants inserted into his mouth. At first he was happy with his new smile, but the situation quickly deteriorated. “When the analgesics stopped working, the pain was unbearable. I couldn’t even brush my teeth properly because they were so sensitive it was unbearable“, he noted.

Not long after, another shock came when his new implants started falling out. “One day I laughed on the couch and they just relaxed. I called the clinic and they told me to fly back and they would reattach my teeth,” Jon added.

On his return to Turkey he paid a further £300 for sedation. But when he woke up, he found that the doctor had removed all the remaining implants instead of repairing them.

“Apart from the front one, which was a bit sensitive, all the other teeth were solid. There was no reason to take them out. I was in complete shock. When I got home, I shut myself up for a few days,” admitted Jon, adding that now he can’t even eat a soft cake and wishes he could turn back time and not have the procedure.

He is currently raising money to get his smile repaired. “Compared to where I was before I went to Turkey, I’m in a much worse place. A lot of people who went there have amazing teeth, but I don’t. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. I wake up every morning in a bad mood and I don’t want to go to work. If I don’t fix it, it will ruin my relationship and my life“, he concluded desperately.
