The judge of Pará, Eva do Amaral Coelho, criticized the new ones established in March by the STF (Supreme Federal Court) for magistrates.
The statements took place on April 9, during a session of the 3rd Panel of Criminal Law of the TJ-PA (Court of Justice of Pará). Eva has been a judge since 2020 and is 73 years old. According to the payroll released by the agency, she received R$91,000 in March.
“Soon we will be on the list of employees who work under slavery”he stated.
When citing colleagues who had difficulty paying their bills, the judge stated that “to say that the judge doesn’t work and that he seeks funds and more funds and more funds, like a privilege, a gimmick, an expression so foul and so slutty that they threw it at the judiciary that today we live with enormous tension”, he said.
Furthermore, the judge stated that “created” and judges came to be seen as without “scruples” who win “a lot of doing nothing”. “We went from citizens who protect our rights to the villains of history. We are the bad guys now”he added.
According to her, judges work “Huge overtime, sacrificing the weekend”. During the session, she apologized to her colleagues for “I vent about a very sad situation”.
