The first dance of the seventh round of Let’s Dance was a quickstep performed by Nela Pocisková and Filip Kucman to the song I’m Still Standing by Elton John. After him, a surprise broke out, around which the Marquise kept huge secrets. The second dance, which the couples had prepared, was canceled and everyone was given an hour for an almost unmanageable challenge.
Each couple chose one of four mystery envelopes, which revealed what new dance they had to perform live. They were given only 60 minutes to prepare it, including choreography and practice. All the performers were in shock, but they quickly had to shake it off. After the revelation, a race against time began for everyone.
“We wanted to bring an element that would test not only the couples’ dancing skills, but also their creativity, agility and ability to handle real-time pressure. Today’s Let’s Dance will be more authentic than ever,” said the director and creative producer Pepe Majeský. “What will be created in those 60 minutes will be the pure essence of the show – emotion, improvisation and the courage to step out of the comfort zone,” he added.
Pocisková and Kucman randomly chose tango and despite in a huge time crunch, they prepared an explosive choreography. They heard words of praise from the judges after their performance. “Neli, I don’t know what sign you are, but you came out like a lion on that dance floor. From now on, you should be forbidden to know what kind of dance you will have next. This time there was such energy and you were determined…” the juror praised her Laura Arcolin.
The actress jumped into her speech about it. “I was pissed,” Pocisková explained her feelings out loud. The artist’s sincere words made everyone laugh. “Hats off to both of you… I thought that absolutely no one would give it. In my opinion, you probably had the most difficult moment, because you had a tango that is chopped up by elements. That time passes completely differently. Hats off. I’m done,” said Ján Ďurovčík to the pair.
Despite the breathtaking performances Pocisková and Kucman found themselves at the bottom of the rankings and had to say goodbye to the show. During the elimination, they found themselves on the floor next to Gabriela Marcinková with Jaroslav Ihring and Ján Koleník with Dominika Rošková. When Marcinková got to safety, it was already clear to Nela that her performance in Let’s Dance was over. “We’re going home,” cameras caught what she said to a co-star. “It’s a shame they’re all so good,” she joked afterwards in her farewell speech.
