Released in Spain, the World Cup album does not have Neymar in the Brazilian team

The World Cup album is officially released on May 1st in Brazil, but has already started to be sold in some newsstands around the world, such as in Spain.

For those who have already purchased the item, the Brazilian National Team page draws attention because, for the first time in four editions, there is no space dedicated to Neymar’s sticker, whose call-up is one of Carlo Ancelotti’s doubts.

Panini, responsible for the album, had already discarded Neymar from another product it launched for the World Cup, Adrenalyn XL, a card game collection with 11 players from each nation that will compete in the World Cup.

Also on the Brazil page there is the name of Rodrygo, a certain absence from the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada because he tore the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his right knee.

The list of the Brazilian team in the World Cup album

  • Goalkeepers: Alisson and Bento.
  • Defenders: Marquinhos, Éder Militão, Gabriel Magalhães, Wesley and Danilo.
  • Midfielders: Bruno Guimarães, Lucas Paquetá and Casemiro.
  • Attackers: Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, Luiz Henrique, João Pedro, Matheus Cunha, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha and Estêvão.

The album will have a total of 980 stickers, as this will be the first World Cup with 48 teams. In 2022, there were 670. Despite the expected increase in the number of stickers, the price was “frozen” by Panini, which kept the packages at R$7, containing 7 stickers each, the price charged in recent years with other titles from the brand. However, in the last World Cup, packages cost R$4 and came with 5 stickers.

Completing the World Cup album in 2026 could cost more than R$7,000. The notebook will cost R$24.90, with hardcover editions costing up to R$79.90 and a special edition containing a box with 40 packets priced at R$359.90.
