2028 Olympics opens sales with million-dollar brand of tickets purchased

The organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games reported this Thursday the sale of more than 4 million tickets in the first phase, held this month. The number signals high demand ahead of the opening ceremony.

The LA28 committee has opened registration for the second ticket draw, with sales scheduled for August 2026. The new stage will include tickets for all modalities and different price ranges.

“The return to first sale was historic,” said Reynold Hoover, CEO, in a statement.

Los Angeles will be the third city to host the Summer Olympics three times, following the 1932 and 1984 editions. The city will also host the Paralympic Games for the first time.
