A Federal Police (PF) requested this Thursday (23) the preventive arrest of MC Ryan SP, MC Poze do Rodo, by Raphael Sousa Oliveira, creator of the page Choqueiand others investigated for involvement in a billion-dollar money laundering scheme.
The order has been placed. The STJ’s decision points to the existence of “blatant illegality” in the determination of the Fifth Federal Criminal Court of Santos, which had ordered the temporary arrest of the singer and the others involved.
According to minister Messod Azulay Neto, rapporteur of the case at the STJ, the Federal Police itself requested the arrest for just five days. Therefore, he understood that the measure should be limited to that period and granted habeas corpus. Another 33 targets arrested in the operation may also be covered by the decision.
According to investigations, the group is suspected of participating in a money laundering scheme estimated at R$1.6 billion.
