The Israeli army intervened in both Lebanon and the West Bank just a few hours before important negotiations between ambassadors in Washington.
The Israeli army killed three people in southern Lebanon and a 15-year-old teenager in the West Bank on Thursday ahead of the planned talks between Israeli Ambassador Jechiel Leiter and Lebanese Ambassador Nadia Hamada Muawwad in Washington. TASR informs about it according to AFP reports.
Lebanon’s health ministry said in a statement that an “Israeli airstrike in Nabatiya district,” more than 30 kilometers from the Israeli border, killed three people. Two other people, including a child, were injured in another attack.
Attacks in Lebanon and Palestine
The Palestinian Authority’s health ministry said the same day that Israeli forces killed a 15-year-old boy during a raid in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
Both incidents took place just hours before the scheduled second round of talks between the ambassadors of Israel and Lebanon in Washington. Hamádová Muawwádová, according to the sources of world agencies, will ask them to extend the ceasefire.

An anonymous source told AFP that US President Donald Trump will also attend the White House meeting. The first round took place at the State Department and was mediated by the head of US diplomacy, Marco Rubio.
