The first installment of the 13th for retirees and pensioners begins to be paid this Friday (24) by the INSS (National Social Security Institute), following the anticipated calendar defined by the federal government for 2026.
Payment will be made in two stages: the first installment will be deposited between April 24th and May 8th, while the second is scheduled for the period from May 25th to June 8th.
The order of payments is defined by the final NIS number (Social Identification Number) and the beneficiary’s income range.
Policyholders who receive up to the minimum wage will have priority in deposits.
The 13th beneficiaries who received, in 2026, retirement, death pension, temporary disability benefit, accident benefit, maternity benefit or incarceration benefit are entitled.
BPC (Continuous Payment Benefit) and Lifetime Monthly Income policyholders do not receive the benefit.
In addition to payment, the government started sending informational messages via WhatsApp to policyholders, communicating about the release of the benefit and providing guidance on how to check values and dates.
According to the government, the initiative seeks to expand access to information and avoid doubts about the calendar.
