United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he will not resort to a nuclear weapon in the war against Iran.
“Why would I use a nuclear weapon? We totally decimated them, in a very conventional way, without it,” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked.
“No, I would not use it. A nuclear weapon should never be allowed to be used by anyone,” he added.

Asked how long he would be willing to wait for a long-term peace deal with Iran, Trump responded: “Don’t rush me.”
He said Iran may have loaded its weaponry “a little bit” during the two-week ceasefire, but added that the US military could put an end to it in about a day.
“Their Navy is gone. Their air force is gone, their anti-aircraft defense is gone…maybe they armed themselves a little during the two-week hiatus, but we’ll be done with it in a day, if they did,” Trump added.
“I want to make the best deal. I could make a deal right now… but I don’t want to do that. I want it to be eternal,” he said.
