Brazilian spending abroad totaled R$6.044 billion in the first three months of 2026. As a result, expenses on international travel reached the highest level for the period since the beginning of the historical series amid the fall of the dollar.
The result for the first quarter of 2026 represents an increase of 21.9% compared to the first three months of 2025. The data was released this Friday (24).

In March alone, Brazilians spent around R$2 billion on international travel. In the same month of 2025, expenses were in the order of R$1.6 billion.
