Potapova will face Rybakina in the Madrid round of 16

Madrid – Anastasia Potapova is in the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 tennis tournament in Madrid. The neo-Austrian beat number 21 seeded Latvian Jelena Ostapenko 4:6.6:4.6:4 in the third round late on Sunday evening and will now face number two seeded Kazakh Jelena Rybakina. Potapova, who actually failed in qualifying, became the first player to advance to the round of 16 in Madrid as a lucky loser.
