Unicef ​​warns of the loss of up to 20,000 female teachers in Afghanistan


Kabul – According to a report by the UN children’s fund Unicef, Afghanistan is at risk of losing more than 25,000 teachers and medical professionals by 2030. This will apply if Taliban-imposed restrictions on girls’ education and women’s employment are not lifted, the report published on Monday said. Accordingly, up to 20,000 teachers and 5,400 medical professionals could be lost by 2030.
