The president (PT) signed this Tuesday (28) the appointment of deputy Odair Cunha (PT-MG) as new minister of the (Federal Audit Court).
The PT member’s name was presented by the Chamber and the Senate two weeks ago. The signing of his appointment was made at a closed event, with the presence of the president of the TCU, Vital do Rêgo Filho, and minister José Guimarães (Institutional Relations).
Odair Cunha has the support of the government’s base, with PT, PC do B, PV, PSB, PDT, PSOL and Rede in his alliance, as well as a wing from the center, such as that of the president of the Chamber, (PB), the MDB and part of the PP. Motta’s support was part of the agreement that led the PT to support the man from Paraíba in the election for the command of the Chamber.
