SP City Hall hires André Mendonça’s institute – 04/29/2026 – Panel

The City Hall disbursed R$ 183 thousand for 32 GCM (Metropolitan Civil Guard) employees to take a course from April 27th to 30th at

The course, entitled “Qualified Resource Collection and Execution in Public Security”, costs R$5,700 per server and covers 32 hours over four days.

The contract was made by the Municipal Department of Urban Security with no bidding required.

To the Panel, the mayor’s management stated that the amounts paid to the minister’s institute are below those practiced in the market.

“The hiring was carried out based on the need for technical improvement of employees who work in strategic functions of the department, especially in the areas of planning, management and budget execution”, says the city hall.

According to the municipal administration, “the contracting follows all legal and administrative procedures, based on technical criteria of need, content and qualification of the institution, with the amounts paid by the municipality to the Iter institute being below those practiced in the market”.

According to the institute, the course aims to train technical teams for budget and financial management, as well as assist in optimizing resources in favor of public safety.
