The initiative has as its backdrop the rapprochement between allies during the period of coordination for the presidential elections.
The split, however, coincides with the vote in the Senate plenary on the nomination of Jorge Messias for the position under consideration by the House. The overlapping of schedules should reduce the opposition quorum in the session.
