Madrid – Atlético Madrid and Arsenal were unable to gain a lead in their first semi-final duel in the Champions League. The Spaniards and the English drew 1-1 (0-1) in the first leg in Madrid on Wednesday evening. Viktor Gyökeres gave the London team the lead with a penalty kick (44′). Julian Alvarez also equalized from the spot for coach Diego Simeone’s team (56′). Arsenal have home advantage in the return game next Tuesday (9 p.m.).
