How were you and your mother able to break through the glass ceilings, Ms. Goldmann?

Hardly any Austrian manager has broken through as many glass ceilings as Wilhelmine Goldmann. The 77-year-old can now look back on a picture-perfect career: she helped manage the privatization of the Österreichische Industrieholding Aktiengesellschaft (ÖIAG) and, as board member of Postbus AG, was the first woman to hold an executive chair at an ÖIAG company. In 2005, Goldmann finally took over ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG and became the first female board member in the history of the ÖBB Group.
