The Slovak police is experiencing great sadness. Diana’s life ended in a serious traffic accident on the D1 highway († 34), which was a permanent part of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic. Colleagues from the Police Force dedicated words full of pain to her on the social network.
The tragic event happened on Wednesday (June 10) in the evening on the D1 highway near Liptovský Mikuláš. The driver of a Škoda Superb car was heading to Poprad when, for unknown reasons, she crashed into the barriers on the right side of the road.
The injuries she suffered in the crash were so serious that she succumbed to them on the spot. Her colleague (39) was also sitting in the car with her, who suffered injuries requiring immediate transport to the hospital. An expert from the Department of Road Transport was called to the scene of the accident, and the exact causes and circumstances of this tragedy are the subject of an ongoing investigation.
Only later did it become clear that employees of the Slovak Ministry of the Interior were sitting in the wrecked car. For the police officers, this accident took on an extremely painful, personal dimension. The police force published an emotional statement on the social network saying goodbye to Diana.
“We perceive every tragic event to which we as members of the Police Force are called sensitively. Every day we come across human stories, often associated with pain and loss. However, if the tragedy is connected with a person we knew personally, such a sad event is all the more difficult“, the police officers admit openly.
According to them, Diana was a huge support for the police in many activities. She excelled in her professionalism, responsibility and organizational skills. Even though her work was not visible to the public at first glance, it was all the more reflected in the final results of the entire team.
But above all, she left behind a deep human mark. Colleagues will remember her for her selfless approach and willingness to help or advise at any time. “For many of us, however, he will also be remembered as a person who, with his smile, knew how to disarm even the strictest of the police and at the same time bring us together humanly and professionally for a one hundred percent result,” adds the police in a touching status.
On Monday, June 15, some members of the Police Force personally said their last goodbyes to Diana. This tragic moment reminded them how important it is to respect the people and colleagues around you. “Remembered with reverence, gratitude and respect. Honor to your memory, Diana,” her colleagues conclude the overwhelming message to heaven.
