The president of the United States, Donald Trumpaccused the European Union (EU) this Friday of failing to comply with the trade pact negotiated with Washington and announced that as a consequence, it will raise the tariff on cars and trucks manufactured by the bloc to 25%.
“I am pleased to announce that because the European Union is not complying with our fully agreed trade agreement, next week I will increase the tariffs applied to the European Union on cars and trucks entering the United States. The tariff will be raised to 25%,” he wrote on Truth Social.
