US President Donald Trump said on Friday he believes there are around 400 oil tankers stuck in the Strait of Hormuz amid blockages on both the US and Iranian sides.
At an event for seniors, Trump stated that the US will not leave Iran prematurely and “let the problem return”. “We will ‘take care’ of countries that want to have nuclear weapons”, he threatened.
The Republican pointed out that Tehran is not fulfilling the agreement that Washington needs, but that the US will “resolve this the right way”, without offering further details. The president also said again that the price of oil will fall as soon as the war ends and that he thought the stock market would fall by 25% as a result of the conflict.

Regarding the 25% tariffs on car exports from the European Union, the Republican commented that the European bloc did not comply with the trade agreement with the USA, but that it could go back on the taxes if the Europeans started producing vehicles in the country.
