The German Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, highlighted this Saturday the strategic importance of the American presence on German soil, following the announcement by President Donald Trump. “The presence of American soldiers in Europe and, especially, in Germany, is in our interest and in that of the United States,” Pistorius stressed. However, according to the minister, the measure “was foreseeable”, although he has not elaborated on that conclusion.
