Iran executed two alleged Israeli spies. They were accused of enmity against God and collaboration with the Mossad

Iran has executed two men accused of spying for the Mossad during the war with Israel. He claims that they collected sensitive images of military and strategic targets.

Two men convicted of spying for Israel were executed in Iran on Saturday. Referring to the Iranian judicial authorities, AFP reported about it, writes TASR.

  • Iran executed two men for spying for Israel.
  • One collected information on military facilities during the war.
  • The second provided data on officials and important places.
  • In recent weeks, Iran has carried out several similar executions.

The first of those executed was convicted of the crime of “moharebeh” – enmity against God – which, according to the court, he committed in June 2025 during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, when he allegedly filmed and photographed security and military objects and then passed these materials to an officer of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.

He was supposed to provide information

The second of those executed cooperated with the Mossad by providing it with information on “religious and provincial officials, as well as important locations, such as (Iran’s) Natanz province,” where a major nuclear facility is located. However, it is not clear whether his activities took place during the war.

Iran has carried out a number of executions in recent weeks of people convicted of collaborating with Israel or linked to mass protests in January 2026, which authorities blame on Israel, the United States and opposition groups, including the banned People’s Mujahideen. Iran, together with China, has long been among the countries with the highest number of executions in the world, in both cases it is thousands or hundreds of cases a year. However, information about the exact numbers is often kept secret in both countries, and especially in China.
