The President of the United States, Donald Trump, used his profile on the social network Truth Social, in the early hours of Saturday, 2, to make a series of posts, including images generated by artificial intelligence, attacks on political opponents, photos of his recent activities and messages extolling supposed future achievements of his administration, such as cleaning the water mirror of the Lincoln Memorial, in front of the Washington Monument.
Among the publications, Trump projected his face on the historic Mount Rushmore, a monument that houses the busts of four former American presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

During his first visit to the White House, Trump expressed his desire to have his face carved into the monument, located in the state of South Dakota. At the time, the then governor even presented him with a model of the mountain with the face of the Republican president.
In another image, generated by AI, Trump appears in a swimsuit inside the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool alongside Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. The image also features a woman in a bikini, with facial features different from those of the first lady, Melania Trump.
The reflecting pool is a Washington landmark, intended for contemplation. Swimming in the area is prohibited.
Trump did not caption the post or explain his intention in publishing it. However, the proposal to renovate and paint the reflecting pool has been a strong presence on the American president’s networks in recent weeks.

Just this morning, Trump shared several other photos of the landmark, which is next to the Washington Monument. One of them compares how the place supposedly looked in 2012, when the country was governed by Barack Obama, and how it could look “soon”, according to the American president. The image from 14 years ago shows part of the murky waters and the mossy edge. Above the photo, Trump wrote “Hussein Obama.”
Next door, he posted the same image, but with clear water, clean edges and the blue color proposed in Trump’s project, accompanied by the phrase “Coming soon”. “This is what our country was like before and after ‘TRUMP!’” she wrote in the caption.
Still in the same location, Trump shared two other images of the water mirror with the blue color with which he intends to paint the historic landmark. On both, he wrote: “American flag blue”.
In another image generated by artificial intelligence, Trump published a photo holding cards from the game Uno with the inscription “wild cards”, a term that refers to wild cards, but can also represent someone who takes unexpected actions. The image was accompanied by the phrase: “I hold all the cards”.

During the early hours of the morning, he made a post attacking Representative Hakeem Jeffries, leader of the Democratic minority. “With his low IQ, he is nothing more than a criminal and represents a danger to our country!”, wrote the Republican president.
Among other nightly posts made by Trump this Saturday are photos with King Charles III, who was in the United States this week, as well as photos with First Lady Melania, his wife.
