Five mendetained in the Triage of Pavilion 1 of the Alcaçuz State Penitentiary, in Rio Grande do Norte, escaped from prison this Saturday (2), and are on the run.
According to the Criminal Police, the escape occurred during heavy rains that hit the region. To escape, the inmates even damaged the cell where they were staying and, according to information from the G1 portalused a rope to jump over the penitentiary wall.
The State Secretariat for the State Penitentiary Administration (Seap) informs that the security forces were called in to recapture the fugitives. “The Penitentiary Administration Secretariat (Seap) is investigating the circumstances of the escape”, informed the ministry, which says it will take a position based on new information.
