Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, 81, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The hospitalization was confirmed by his spokesperson this Sunday (3).
“Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he is fighting with that same level of strength right now,” spokesman Ted Goodman said in a statement published on X.

The statement does not say why he is hospitalized.
President Donald Trump published in Truth Social that Giuliani is a “true warrior and the best mayor in the history of New York City.”
“What a tragedy that he was treated so poorly by the radical left lunatics, all Democrats — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They rigged the election, fabricated hundreds of stories, did everything to destroy our nation, and now look at Rudy. So sad!” Trump wrote in the post about Giuliani’s hospitalization.
Giuliani, Trump’s former personal lawyer whose leadership of New York after the September 11, 2001, attacks earned him the nickname “America’s Mayor,” has faced a series of .
He has pleaded not guilty to state criminal charges related to an election subversion scheme in Arizona. Prosecutors filed a similar case against Giuliani and others in Georgia last year. Two former Georgia election officials, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, also obtained a defamation suit against him for false claims made after the 2020 election.
Still, he has received support from Trump, who appointed him to an advisory board within the Department of Homeland Security in June of last year.
Giuliani was hospitalized in August after being injured in a , according to his security chief and state police. Three people, including Giuliani, were taken to hospital by ambulance with “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
In 2020, the former mayor spent four days hospitalized fighting the coronavirus.
