The Moroccan player of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Achraf Hakimi will be tried for rape after the Court of Appeal rejected his appeal to avoid sitting in the dock.
The footballer learned this news at the Moroccan camp at the World Cup in the United States, a few hours before the match that his team will play against Scotland, scheduled for 10:00 p.m. GMT.
“I have the feeling of being an easy target,” the footballer, born in Spain, reacted on the social network
What is the footballer accused of?
After meeting on Instagram in January 2023, Hakimi invited the young woman to his home in Boulogne-Billancourt on February 25 of that year. She arrived with an Uber paid for by the player himself.
According to the plaintiff’s version disclosed by the media, the footballer kissed her on the lips despite her rejection, lifted her clothes and kissed her breasts and even inserted his fingers into her vagina, despite her resistance.
The girl, then 24 years old, said she managed to get rid of her attacker with a kick and sent a message to a friend, who came looking for her. Hakimi has denied any act of penetration from the beginning, admitting only mutual hugs and exchanges of consensual kisses.
