A compact city with a direct subway connection, surrounded by a three-kilometer-long “green ring” of parks, with commercial zones behind them: This is roughly what the urban development model, i.e. the master plan, looks like for the future Viennese district of Rothneusiedl in the south of the 10th district (Favoriten). It has been worked on for more than a year, and on Monday the mission statement was presented by planning councilor Ulli Sima (SPÖ), Neos Vienna club boss Selma Arapović and high-ranking Vienna officials from the areas of urban planning, municipal utilities and housing funds.
