A car drove into a crowd of people in the center of the German city of Leipzig on Monday. Two people were killed in the incident, while two others were seriously injured, MDR TV reported, citing local police. Reuters drew attention to it, writes TASR.
Leipzig police confirmed to Reuters that there were several injuries, but did not provide further details.
Damaged car and witnesses
Local radio station Radio Leipzig reported that a damaged Volkswagen car, with one person sitting on top, drove through the pedestrian zone in the city.
The station cited several witnesses who said there were several bodies covered with sheets at the scene. They added that there was also a stabbing.
