In the center of the German city of Leipzig a car rammed into a crowd of people on Monday. Two people died in the incidentwhile two others were seriously injuredMDR TV reported with reference to the local police. Reuters drew attention to it, writes TASR.
Leipzig police confirmed to Reuters that there were several injuries, but did not provide further details. Local radio station Radio Leipzig reported that a damaged Volkswagen car drove through the pedestrian zone in the cityon top of which one person was sitting. The station cited several witnesses who said there were several bodies covered with sheets at the scene. They added that there was also a stabbing.
