Program announced this Monday (May 4) aims to renegotiate debts; serves families, companies, students and rural entrepreneurs
The president (PT) signed, this Monday (May 4, 2026), at Palácio do Planalto, to renegotiate debts. The program serves 4 categories: families, companies, students and rural entrepreneurs.
At the signing ceremony, the president stated that “It’s great that people have the capacity to get into debt” since “responsibly” and without “spend more than you can afford”.
Lula also said that “it is not correct for a Brazilian citizen to have a bad name at Serasa because of a debt of R$100”. The new program establishes that .
“The market turns this citizen into a clandestine person, he becomes a customer of loan sharking. When he falls into loan sharking, then he will be systematically threatened for the rest of his life”he declared.
Here are the features of Desenrola 2.0 for families:
- pays debts incurred until January 31, 2026;
- for families that receive up to 5 minimum wages;
- discounts of 30% to 90% on the value of debts and interest of a maximum of 1.99%;
- 30 days for renegotiation and another 35 days for payment of the 1st installment;
- use of the FGTS (Service Time Guarantee Fund) to pay debts;
- use of the FGO (Operations Guarantee Fund) for families to renegotiate overdue debts;
- blocking the use of online betting platforms for 1 year.
Here are the features of Desenrola 2.0 for Fies:
- serves students inside and outside Cadúnico;
- debts overdue from 90 days to more than 1 year;
- discounts from 77% to 99%.
Here are the features of Desenrola 2.0 for companies:
- serves entrepreneurs with revenues of up to R$4.8 million per year;
- grace period of 24 months;
- maximum term of 96 months;
- delay tolerance for 90 days.
Here are the characteristics of Desenrola 2.0 for rural entrepreneurs:
- it should reach 800 thousand family farmers, that is, 1.3 million families.

LULA & POPULARITY
The PT member has intensified his speech for the end of Brazilians’ debt. It came to , Dario Durigan, publicly, so that he “Try to solve it” the debt problem in the country.
