The WHO raises the suspected cases of hantavirus to seven in the outbreak on the cruise ship anchored in Cape Verde

The World Health Organization (WHO) for the hantavirus outbreak recorded on board the luxury cruise ship MV Hondius, flying the Dutch flag and currently anchored between passengers and crew. “Seven cases have been identified, including three deaths, one patient in critical condition and three people who present mild symptoms,” the organization’s statement states. Of the seven cases, two have been confirmed in the laboratory and the rest are considered suspicious.
