As registrations for the 1st qualification exam of the Uerj (State University of Rio de Janeiro) ends this Wednesday (6).
Registration is done at the university and costs R$100. The Qualification Exam is the first stage of the selection process, divided into two independent phases, and the first is the objective test.
The test has 60 multiple-choice questions and covers content from the areas of languages, mathematics, natural sciences and humanities.
It will be on June 7th and the result will be released on June 13th.
Candidates who have up to 5 points can participate in the second phase, the Discursive Exam. The university requires mandatory reading of the books “Não Isso Aqui”, by Marcelo Rubens Paiva, and “O Cortiço”, by Aluísio Azevedo.
Entrance exam stages
The Uerj State Entrance Exam consists of two phases:
- Qualification Exams: carried out in two editions throughout the year, with objective tests;
- Discursive Exam: aimed at candidates who passed at least one of the previous exams, with specific writing and tests depending on the chosen course.
The Qualification Exam has an eliminatory and classificatory nature, being essential for admission to one of the most traditional public universities in the country.
This year, the The theme of the essay will be based on the work “O Bem-Amado”by Dias Gomes, while the Portuguese Language and Literature test will use “Luanda, Lisboa, Paraíso”, by Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida, as a reference.
