Eric Trump, son of the President of the United States, (Republican Party), shared on X, on Tuesday (May 5, 2026), a logo for Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida. In March, the state governor (Republican Party) passed a law renaming the place in honor of the American leader.
The new name should come into effect on July 1st, but it still depends on administrative changes made by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).
The logo presented by Trump’s son has a golden eagle holding 2 olive branches, as well as a shield with stars and stripes. Below, the name of the airport appears with 12 golden stars.
“There is no person more deserving of this incredible honor than Donald Trump! Congratulations, Dad”wrote Eric on X.
Trump, born in New York, moved to Florida in 2019. He has a home at the Mar-a-Lago resort in West Palm Beach.
According to the newspaper, Palm Beach commissioners on Tuesday (May 5) approved a trademark and licensing agreement with Trump’s family company, a necessary step in renaming the airport.
Josh Gerben, a trademark lawyer, told the publication that Trump should not profit from branded products sold inside the airport. But the agreement does not prevent him and other family members from selling these same items off-site and keeping the proceeds.
The agreement grants the US president’s family control over any biographical material presented at the airport or in its institutional materials. Furthermore, the supplier that will make the branded products available must come from a list approved by Trump’s company.
