Cachopo Fair returns on Sunday with music, crafts and typical flavors

The village of Cachopo, in the municipality of Tavira, will host next Sunday, May 10th, the XXX Products and Crafts Fair, an initiative that once again celebrates the traditions, gastronomy and cultural heritage of Serra do Caldeirão.

Organized by the Cachopo Parish Center, with the support of the Tavira City Council and the Cachopo Parish Council, the event promises a day dedicated to popular culture and the traditional flavors of the Algarve interior.

The program starts at 09:00, followed by a march half an hour later. Among the cultural highlights are a guided tour of the Church of Santo Estêvão de Cachopo, at 10:30 am, and a session dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet and local flavors, scheduled for 3 pm.

The musical entertainment takes place throughout the day, with performances by Paulo Cardeta, Beatriz Pereira, Tem Avondo and Rancho Típico Sambrasense, responsible for closing the program.

The organization highlights that the fair has established itself as “an essential meeting point for preserving mountain identity and supporting the local economy and small producers in the region”.
