Patient died after (or during?) treatment under general anesthesia at a dental clinic in Oosterhout. It remains to be explained.

The case happened earlier this year, in January, but is now being reported by the newspaper.

A patient went to dentist e he died after (or during?) treatment under general anesthesia in a dental clinic in Oosterhout, in the Netherlands.

The treatment was carried out by a dentist specialized in procedures under general anesthesia.

As usual, after the anesthetist induces general anesthesia in the patient, and while he is unconscious, the dentist performs several procedures in a single session.

Under normal circumstances, there is controlled medication and constant monitoring of the patient’s vital signs.

In this case, the patient died. It is not known whether it was during treatment or immediately afterward.. The exact cause of death has not yet been released.

The clinic limited itself to saying that the incident was “deeply tragic” and expressed its condolences.

“We deeply regret what happened. Our patient’s death has a great impact on everyone involved. We are deeply moved by this tragic event and our thoughts and condolences are with the bereaved family”, says the clinic in an official statement.

An investigation, through a commission independent. The clinic awaits the results, only then will it comment on the matter again.

It is worth noting that this death occurred at Narcodent, which is one of the most renowned clinics in the Netherlands as a specialist in treatments under general anesthesia.
