On the D1 highway before Trnava in the direction from Piešťany a tragic traffic accident happened on Thursday night. There was a collision between one truck and two vans, which were parked in the parking lane. Two people died. The Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service in Trnava reported on this on the social network.
“The truck was located approximately 100 meters from the damaged vans. Two people without signs of life were found on the road. There were three other people at the barriers,” the firemen approached.
They secured the accident site with warning signs and provided pre-medical first aid to the accident participants. “Subsequently, they assisted in documenting the traffic accident and in activities related to its investigation,” they added, adding that they carried out fire prevention measures on the vehicles.
