The Ministry of Labor stated, this Wednesday (June 24, 2026), that 37.1 million people with a formal contract who work more than 40 hours a week will benefit from the end of the 6 X 1 scale.
The data is included in the Monthly Rais (Annual Social Information List) for February 2026. The survey provides information on formal ties in the private sector, the public sector and other categories.
The contingent represents almost 74% of the 50.3 million workers formally registered in the country in February, according to government data.

DISTRIBUTION OF THE DAY
The Ministry of Labor survey details the distribution of hours worked among employees with a formal contract.
- 1,493,520 workers work a week over 44 hours;
- 35,616,548 workers work a week between 41 and 44 hours;
- 9,235,788 workers work a week between 31:00 and 40:00;
- 2,160,899 workers work a week between 9pm and 30am;
- 1,807,808 workers work a week until 9pm.
