The Brazilian Bar Association of São Paulo reported this Wednesday (24) that it has suspended lawyer Deolane Bezerra Santos, with immediate effect. “According to the legislation, the measure of suspension of professional practice may have an initial period of 90 days, with the possibility of successive extension up to a limit of 360 days.”, says the OAB note, adding that during this period the definitive judgment must take place.
“The OAB SP investigates all infractions that come to its attention, through representation or through publicly disclosed facts, through its Ethics and Disciplinary Court.”, says the note.
A digital influencer and lawyer Deolane Bezerra was arrested this Thursday morning (21) during the Operation Vernixlaunched by the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP) and the Civil Police to investigate a money laundering scheme linked to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).
According to the investigation, Deolane would have received funds from the faction through a transport company identified as the financial arm of the criminal organization.
