US forces have attacked Iranian “command centers” in what appears to be the most serious incident between the two countries since the truce came into force on April 8. In a statement, the Central Command, responsible for the US military deployment in the Middle East, has indicated that this action came in response after Iranian forces launched missiles, drones and speedboats against US destroyers transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
