The opening of the Journalism Festival in Innsbruck on Friday was about the dependence of European media on US platforms. It remained controversial, for example, whether more or less regulation was needed. Economist and ORF board member Leonhard Dobusch, legal scholar Clara Rauchegger, media manager Markus Breitenecker and ORF Chief Innovation Officer Stefan Kollinger explored in the Innsbruck city library how Europe’s media can regain their digital sovereignty.
