São Paulo lost to Corinthians this Sunday (10), and attacking midfielder Luciano caused confusion after celebrating the goal scored at the Neo Química Arena. The number 10 complained about the “censorship” of celebrations in single-fan classics.
According to Luciano, he spoke to the referee to question their reactions to the celebration. After the goal, several objects were thrown onto the lawn, and they went to show satisfaction with São Paulo athletes. The attacking midfielder celebrated close to the organized black and white sectors.
“Playing against the rival is important. The only thing I said to Daronco and the fourth referee is that we are playing away from home, if we score a goal where do we have to celebrate? Do we have to go to the dressing room to celebrate? To the midfield?”, said Luciano.
“There’s a little lack of sense. So much so that, when we play at home, when we concede a goal, we don’t cause this confusion. I think football is getting a little boring because of that. You score the goal and you can’t celebrate, you’re provoking, irritating the opposing fans…”, he added.
According to Luciano, he fled the chaos to avoid taking cards.
“When the goal was scored I went close to the bench. I have two yellow cards and I didn’t want any confusion,” he said.
