He has been helping others for years, STVR moderator Patrik Herman admitted his own pain: He can’t help but cry either!

He takes his work home! Patrik Herman has been working in the television environment for more than 30 years. After 26 years in commercial television, he anchored in STVR. As he says himself, Slovak Television is his second home. He loves his job and at the same time praises the great team of people. Sometimes, however, a demanding profession, working with people, gets to him.

Patrik Herman reports on the screens of Units, the show Citizen Behind the Door. Together with his colleagues, he helps Slovaks demand justice. Sometimes he is even a psychologist. “The reports of my colleagues often really work wonders. Although, sometimes we would also need that psychologist… There’s nothing more frustrating than feeling like you can’t help everyone right away.” says the moderator.

He does not hide the fact that he cries in difficult moments. “Yes, I will cry. My work, my life, is confronted with human destinies, which are often difficult, challenging and sad. It is often very personal. I am only human,” delivered by an openly seasoned STVR presenter.

However, he is surrounded by many people who are there for him and can give him a shoulder to rest his head on. “I’ve experienced periods where I was alone and dependent only on myself… That’s why I appreciate it,” Patrik says with a smile. By devoting his life to work and other projects, he doesn’t have much time for his loved ones.

As he claims, it is an extremely painful topic for him. “It is a problem that I am aware of, with which I have been fighting for a long time and in which I am failing. I don’t give these people as much time as they deserve. I don’t have time to live my life, I only fulfill my dreams in an accelerated mode,” adds the moderator, who has been learning from his mistakes all his life and then wants to be more courageous.
