On to the video podcast Off Record with musician Teri Čikoš on the website Koktejl.sk a well-known presenter, dancer, but also an artist who tasted the magic of musicals accepted the invitation. Vratko Sirági has been the face of TV Markíz for many yearswhere he started as the editor of the popular Telerán and currently hosts Počásie. Vratko Sirági shot up among the stars of the television screens thanks to his participation in the glossy show Let’s Dance. He competed in the 8th series after replacing the injured Mária Čírová and made it to the final.
With his appearance, he overcame all the expectations of the audience, and together with his dance partner Anna Riebauerová, they won third place. He also appeared in the 11th series, where he danced in one round with actress Gabika Marcinková.
How did he react to the offer to dance in a prestigious show? It was his return to dance after many years, right in front of the cameras and completely out of his comfort zone. “Until then, my “safe zone” was Teleráno, in which I felt safe. Let’s Dance is suddenly the big show business, I wasn’t ready for that. I had all the more respect for it,” he admitted in an interview with Teri Čikoš.
Fortunately, he had a great team around him and an excellent dance partner. “Anička was and still is my big rock. Suddenly the dance then took on a more pleasant, lighter tone. V During Let’s Dance, I felt a huge responsibility and great adrenaline all the time. The stage fright was huge and I sometimes forgot the choreography on the live stream because of this, maybe two or three times. It’s interesting what that nervousness and responsibility can do to us,” Vratko Sirági openly admitted.
The judges were often strict. All the more so if someone has already danced in the past. “I had a “whip” sewn on me, as if it was revealed that I once had something to do with dancing. Mrs. Drexler and everyone took it in such a different light with us as a dancing couple. Which actually was such a double-edged sword again – that you have some bar and now you have to hold it. I have to say with hindsight that they also taught me much more discipline, humility and such dedication to something,” he added at the end.
