Eduardo Riedel leads the dispute for the government of MS, says Real Time

The current governor is also ahead in all 6 2nd round scenarios tested in the State

Survey of released this Tuesday (May 12, 2026) shows that the current governor (PP) leads the dispute for the government of Mato Grosso do Sul with 43% of voting intentions in the 1st round. PT member Fábio Trad appears in 2nd position, with 21%.

Real Time Big Data asked respondents: “If the election for governor of Mato Grosso do Sul were held today, who would you vote for if those were the names?”.

Here are the answers:

  • Eduardo Riedel (PP) – 43%;
  • Fábio Trans (PT) – 21%;
  • João Henrique Catan (Novo) – 11%;
  • Delcídio do Amaral (PRD) – 7%;
  • Renato Gomes (DC) – 2%;
  • Lucien Rezende (Psol) – 2%;
  • Jefferson Bezerra (Act) – 1%;
  • null/blank – 5%;
  • don’t know/didn’t answer – 8%.

The survey was carried out by Real Time Big Data from May 9 to 11, 2026. 1,600 people aged 16 or over were interviewed in Mato Grosso do Sul. The confidence interval is 95%. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court under code MS-06412/2026. The research also tested 6 2nd round scenarios. Real Time Big Data asked: “If the election for governor of Mato Grosso do Sul went to the 2nd round, who would you vote for if those were the names?”.
